Common Issues and Frequently Asked Questions
  • What are your business hours?

Monday-Friday: We are contactable from 8:30am - first bookings are usually from 9am through to 5 or 6pm but we are flexible to suit each customers needs and often work later.

If you require jobs completing at the weekends - get in touch and we can see our availability for the work.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept Bank Transfer, Cheque and Cash. Internet banking couldnt be simpler, we receive an app notification within moments of you pressing send.

  • Whats the best type of boiler?

Every engineer or company will have their prefered boilers to install and work on, this doesn't mean that they're necessarily "the best" - but can usually give an indication on quality and reliability.

Here at Gas Sure Solutions we love the boilers produced by Baxi,Main,Potterton and Vailant. Providing up to 10 years warranty on some models shows the manufacturers confidence in their own products

  • How much is a new boiler?

Prices of course vary dependant on the type of boiler you want and your current set up.

We will never suggest a boiler we wouldnt have in our own home, whilst there are slightly cheaper brands around - you run the risk of them being unreliable and replacement parts can be hugely expensive when they do go wrong. Cheap or the cheapest boilers arent usually the best to go with, we recommend spending a little extra for trusted brands which you can trust.

In a straight forward set up - A quality budget boiler from Baxi/Main can be installed with a new programmable stat and system filter from as little as £1600. Contact us today to enquire

  • Why is my radiator not working?

Is the rest of your system warming up? Is the radiator cold only in some areas?

This could be for a number of reasons; air in the radiator or system, a blockage in the pipework, the radiator valves could have seized shut or your system may need rebalancing. Give us a call for us to best understand your issue.

  • I can smell gas - what should I do?

If you're outside and can smell gas in the street -you should call cadent on: 0800 111 999

If you're inside your house and can smell gas, you must find your gas meter and turn off your gas supply by turning the handle to off next to your meter - (this may be Red, Yellow or just normal metal).

Ensure you open all the windows and doors and air out your property for as long as possible

Make sure you dont turn on OR off any electrical switches. Get in touch with cadent above for advice.
