For companies to honour their warranties, they require the appliance to be serviced by a gas safe engineer every year. They require the service booklet provided with the appliance to be signed by the engineer each time; if the booklet isn't signed, then they most likely wont honour the warranty and you will have to foot the repair bill.

Fire Servicing

Fire not working? Fire not igniting?

It could be as simple as needing a service.

Gas fires need to be maintained correctly and cleaned accordingly to ensure that the burner assembly is free from debris or blockages - making sure that they're burning correctly and safely.

"Coals" are removed and cleaned and the burner unit is inspected and thoroughly hoovered through. Making sure that the chimney behind is free from blockages, the flue is checked for good pull ensuring the combustion products are not backing into the room. Once done, the "coals" are placed back and given a new lease of life using a specially designed fire paint.(if appropraite for your fire) - giving it a new lease of life for another year.

Boiler Servicing

All modern boilers have set levels of gases they expel in their burning process ; flue gas analysers, as the name suggests, analyse the levels of certain gases and chemicals given off by your boiler and is the first stage in checking your boiler is working correctly. Where necesarry the boiler is cleaned and having a yearly service can keep your boiler working in tip top condition and spot any issues before they grow.

Not only this; Almost all boiler warranties are subject to having them serviced by a gas safe engineer once a year after installation; without this and their signature on the relevant paperwork - boiler warranties are voided.
